Privacy Policy for all.FM

Effective Date: 16 April 2025

At all.FM, your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your data when you use it to view and analyze your streaming history across multiple platforms.

1. No Servers, No Tracking, No Problem

all.FM is designed with a local-first philosophy:

  • All your data stays on your device.
  • We do not operate any servers.
  • We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or streaming data to us or any unauthorized third parties.

You don’t create an account with all.FM. The app works entirely by local, on-device authorization with supported platforms like Spotify.

2. What Data Is Accessed?

To show your music stats, all.FM connects to your streaming service accounts (currently Spotify, with others like Apple Music coming soon) using their official APIs. With your consent, the app may access the following:

  • Your top tracks, artists, albums, and genres
  • Your listening history (where available)
  • Basic profile info provided by the streaming service (e.g., Spotify username)
  • Authentication tokens for secure API access

The app may also pull song, album, and artist information from there services for the purpose of displaying such information to you by using the API through your streaming service account.

Important: This data is used solely to generate your music insights on your device. It is never transmitted to any server owned by all.FM.

3. Backup Options (Optional)

You will have the option to back up your data:

  • Locally, via an exportable .zip file
  • (Planned) To a cloud storage provider of your choice (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox)

All backups to cloud storage providers are encrypted and stored directly in your personal account. You are always in control of whether backups happen or not.

4. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

  • By using the “Delete All Data” option within the app
  • Or simply by uninstalling the app from your device

There’s no data, except for explicitly allowed backups, retained outside your device – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

5. No Marketing, No Ads

all.FM does not send marketing emails, push notifications, or any communications.
We do not use any analytics or advertising frameworks.

6. Third-Party Services

all.FM interacts with third-party platforms (e.g., Spotify) only to fetch data with your permission. These platforms may have their own privacy policies that apply when you authenticate with them. all.FM has no control over how those services handle your data.

7. Future Integrations

As more platforms (e.g., Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music) are added, all.FM will continue to follow the same principles:

  • All access will be opt-in
  • All data will stay on-device unless you specifically allow it to leave
  • No user data will ever be sent to all.FM servers—because we do not and never will have any.
